Industrial Grade Polyvinyl Acetate Resins
ANHUI LIWEI CHEMICAL CO.,LIMITED
[Introduction]
Industrial-grade polyvinyl acetate (PVAC) is a thermoplastic homopolymer resin widely used in composite materials, adhesives, polylactic acid (PLA), and other fields.
ANHUI LIWEI CHEMICAL's PVAC resins are comparable in quality to those of global suppliers. The molecular weight of our solid PVAC resins can be customized to meet customer requirements.

| Typical Applications | Hot melt adhesives, paints, general adhesives | SMC, bubble gum, low-profile additives | SMC/BMC, pultrusion, RTM, sound damping sheets, adhesives | Plastic coatings, greaseproof paper, film materials, photosensitive films |
2. Applications
1) Composite materials: SMC, BMC, pultrusion processes, low profile and low shrinkage additives (LPA).
2) Adhesives: Solvent-based adhesives, coatings, hot melt adhesives, sound insulation boards, structural adhesives, toy foam adhesives, etc.
3) Polylactic acid (PLA) solubilizers and toughening modifiers: Biodegradable plastics (with detailed specifications).
4) Film-forming agents: Polyvinyl acetate hydrolysate (PVA).
5) Others: Water treatment membrane materials and components, military photographic film, etc.
3. Solubility and Compatibility
1) Solubility: Soluble Solvents and Monomers
Methyl acetate (ethyl, propyl, butyl, pentyl acetate), (acetone, butanone, cyclohexane), styrene, di(tri)chloromethane, trichloroethylene, methyl methacrylate, methanol, ethanol (94%), isopropanol (90%), n-butanol, tetrahydrofuran, unsaturated resins, vinyl ester resins, epoxy resins, etc.
2) Compatibility: Compatible Plasticizers
Adding plasticizers to PVAC resins can improve their flexibility and viscosity, lower the heat-sealing temperature, and enhance water resistance. Coatings and adhesives containing PVAC resins typically require only a small amount of plasticizer to improve flexibility. Higher plasticizer contents (20% or more) significantly reduce the softening point and heat resistance of adhesives and increase the surface viscosity of PVAC-containing adhesives and coatings.
