Differences Between Casting Resin and Lamination Resin

ANHUI LIWEI CHEMICAL CO.,LIMITED

Epoxy resin is a plastic material polymerized from epoxy resin monomers and a curing agent. It possesses characteristics such as high strength, high hardness, chemical resistance, and good adhesion to a variety of surfaces. Epoxy resin has a wide range of applications, from construction to artistic creation, and can be in liquid, paste, or solid form. Epoxy resin is renowned for its adhesion to various substrates and is commonly used in coatings, adhesives, mold making, and electronics.

Because different types of epoxy resins and curing agents exist to meet different needs and applications, the properties of epoxy resins vary depending on the specific formulation. Casting resins are used to manufacture impact molds or jigs, and also for encapsulation and potting. Laminated resins, combined with glass fiber and other reinforcing materials, can be used to manufacture robust, lightweight components for composite material applications.
