Recently, Sinopec Ningxia Energy and Chemical Company successfully produced a new grade of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) product, 088-40, achieving import substitution in downstream production and comprehensively enhancing brand influence and product competitiveness.
PVA is one of the company's main products, widely used in textiles, food, pharmaceuticals, and construction due to its strong adhesive properties.
088-40 PVA is primarily used in the production of 3D printing materials, with high domestic demand but heavy reliance on imports. In recent years, the company has focused on high-end and differentiated development of its industrial chain, continuously increasing its investment in technological breakthroughs and high-value-added product R&D.
Upon receiving the task of developing the 088-40 PVA product from the group company, the company held several special meetings on new product development to determine production strategies and meticulously plan the new product development work.
Through these meetings, they formulated a trial production plan, clarified the organizational structure and division of responsibilities, and conducted equipment adaptability assessments based on the handling capabilities of existing key equipment such as extruders, resin feeding pumps, and dryers in each production line, determining the most suitable production series. Simultaneously, the company organized training sessions for all work teams on the trial production plan, ensuring that employees in each position were proficient in the new product's production process, key points, difficulties, and precautions.
During the trial production, the company meticulously planned the production transition tasks and strictly controlled crucial processes such as polymerization and alcoholysis.
Technical personnel closely monitored each production step, finely adjusting control parameters. Operators strengthened inspections and monitored product analysis data in real time. Based on customer-required product parameter values, they promptly adjusted key parameters such as methanol ratio and alkali molar ratio to ensure process stability and product quality.
Through the efforts of all parties, the produced 088-40 type polyvinyl alcohol product achieved key product indicators such as degree of alcoholysis and viscosity that met the standards of leading international companies.
