On March 5th, the 100,000-ton-per-year polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) project of Ningxia Shuangying New Material Technology Co., Ltd. officially commenced construction. The project's implementation will set a benchmark for extending, supplementing, strengthening, and improving the quality and efficiency of the county's chemical industry chain.
Located in Taisha Park of Pingluo Industrial Park, the project covers 500 mu (approximately 33 hectares) and represents a total investment of 1 billion yuan. It is a key investment project for the county. Leveraging the financial advantages of the investing company and the comprehensive energy and resource utilization advantages of the Dadi Circular Industrial Park, the project utilizes Dadi Company's stable high-quality calcium carbide as a raw material guarantee. Based on the company's mature PVA production technology management team and stable product market share, it aims to establish a complete "calcium carbide—PVA—high-end new materials" chain, transforming and processing local advantageous raw materials locally. This will propel the industry from "selling raw materials" to "selling products, technology, and brands," significantly enhancing product added value and corporate profitability.
It is reported that the project plans to produce 100,000 tons of high-quality PVA products annually, with a construction period of 10 months and trial production expected by the end of November this year. "This project leverages the circular economy industrial advantages of Dadi Group, consuming 200,000 tons of calcium carbide, 1.5 million tons of steam, and 10,000 tons of methanol annually, forming a low-cost competitive advantage and creating a leading high-end and intelligent production base for the polyvinyl alcohol industry. After the project is put into operation, it can generate an annual industrial output value of approximately 1.5 billion yuan, contributing to the high-quality economic development of Pingluo," said Zhu Jinfeng, the project's administrative vice president.
