III. Instructions for Use of ANHUI LIWEI CHEMICAL Adhesives with Polyvinyl Alcohol


a. All polyvinyl alcohol resin series products can be dissolved in hot water below 95℃. When dissolving, slowly add the product to cold water at approximately 20℃ while stirring to allow for full swelling, dispersion, and release of volatile substances (do not add the product directly to water above 40℃ to avoid blistering and internal seepage). Then, raise the temperature to approximately 95℃ to accelerate dissolution and maintain this temperature for 2–2.5 hours until the solution no longer contains small particles. Stir at 70–100 rpm. Heating can be achieved using indirect heating methods such as jacketing or water baths, or direct steam heating; however, do not use an open flame to avoid localized overheating and decomposition. If a stirrer is unavailable, steam can be blown tangentially to dissolve the product.


b. The concentration of aqueous solutions of polyvinyl alcohol resin series products is generally below 12-14%; the concentration of aqueous solutions of low-hydrolysis polyvinyl alcohol resin products is generally around 20%.
