Epoxy resin has elongated hydroxyl group and epoxy group, and the elongated hydroxyl group can react
with isocyanate. Epoxy resin as a polyol directly added to polyurethane adhesive containing hydroxyl
components, using this method, only the hydroxyl group to participate in the reaction, the epoxy group
failed to react.
With acidic resin, carboxylic acid, so that the epoxy ring-opening, and then react
with the isocyanate in the polyurethane adhesive. Can also dissolve the epoxy resin in ethyl acetate, add
phosphoric acid heating reaction, its adducts added to the polyurethane adhesive; the initial viscosity of
the glue; heat resistance and hydrolytic stability can be improved 0 r can also be used Alcohol amine or
amine reaction to generate polyols, the presence of tertiary nitrogen atoms in the adducts, which can
accelerate the NCO reaction.
The use of epoxy resin as a polyhydroxy component combines the advantages of polyurethane and epoxy resin,
with better adhesive strength and chemical resistance properties
