PVB Film is a kind of the laminated glass interlayer, or called PVB interlayer/sheets, it is manufactured commercially by extrusion with PVB resin, plasticizer and additives. PVB film exhibit special characteristics such as transparency, impact resistance, high tensile strength, and elasticity, even if the glass cracks, splinters will adhere to the interlayer and not scatter. These properties make the films and sheets suitable for the manufacture of safety glass. It is primarily used in the production of automotive windshields and the usage of PVB film in building & construction, Additionally PVB film can be applied in photovoltaic modules fields.

Polyvinyl butyral (PVB) is a polymer compound and one of the most widely used chemical products among polyvinyl alcohol and its derivatives. Since its industrial production in my country in the early 1960s, decades of development and improvement have resulted in a relatively mature production process, equipment, and management system.PVB resins possess properties such as high tensile strength, strong adhesion, impact resistance, transparency, and optical clarity. PVB resins are used in general industrial coatings and wood coatings, weathering primers, ceramic substrates, composite materials, structural adhesives, and gravure or flexographic printing inks. They are particularly suitable for use as an adhesive film interlayer in laminated safety glass for automotive windshields and architectural safety glass.
