What is Polyvinyl alcohol?
Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is a synthetic polymer that is water-soluble.
It is made by the polymerization of vinyl acetate, followed by the hydrolysis of the
resulting polymer. PVA has a wide range of applications due to its excellent film-forming
and adhesive properties, as well as its biocompatibility and non-toxicity.
PVA 2699 Application:
PVA 2699 can be used as emulsion stabilizer because PVA 2699 has
a very low surface tension
that can stabilize PVAC colloid particles forming aqueous emulsion but not condensation
deterioration; also can be used as adhesive, in coating construction and textile industry.
